Delete your DoodleNest account

You can delete your account at any time, from the app or by email. Here is how, and exactly what happens to your information.

Last updated 7 October 2026

In the app (parents)

  • Open DoodleNest and sign in.
  • Go to Me, then Delete account.
  • Type DELETE to confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

By email, if you can’t use the app

Email hello@wenthura.lk from the address you sign in with, with the subject “Delete my DoodleNest account”. We may reply to check the request is yours, and we delete the account within 30 days.

School staff

Staff accounts belong to the school, because classes, records and approvals have to be handed over to someone. Ask your school office to remove your account; when they do, your sign-in closes. If you have left a school and it has not done so, email us.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in, and your profile: name, email, phone numbers, address and other contact details.
  • Your link to your children at school. You stop receiving their updates, photos, fees and bus times, and you leave their chats.
  • Your family space: its calendar, reminders, inbox and the documents in it.
  • Your profile photo, and your likes and favourites on photos.
  • Pick-up passes you created are cancelled, and the photos on them deleted.
  • The notification settings and tokens for your devices.

What your school keeps

  • Messages and photo comments you wrote stay in the school’s conversations, with your name replaced by “Deleted user”, so the other side of each conversation still makes sense.
  • Your children’s own school records, such as attendance, reports and photos, which belong to the school.
  • Payment records and the payment slips you sent, which the school needs for its accounts.
  • A note in the school’s audit log that your account was deleted, with your email address and which children it was linked to.

To have your children’s school records deleted too, ask the school. See our privacy policy for everything else about how your information is handled.
